I traveled to many chapters when I was foundation president from 1993 to 2000, and every time I was absolutely astounded by the quality of the leadership skills chapter brothers had acquired as a result of Regional Conclaves and the Williams Leadership Academy, all funded by the foundation from contributions by undergraduates, alumni, and friends. I cannot imagine any alumnus not having this kind of pride in seeing, firsthand, the impact of their yearly contributions to the foundation. It is a sight to see and experience.

About five years ago, one of our KDR leaders challenged our fraternity stating that it is on loan to us in perpetuity (undergraduates and alumni) and it is up to each of us to help repay that loan several times over. Our greatest legacy to KDR is providing the means for future brothers to learn about and experience the real world. That is what every single dollar given to the foundation accomplishes.
